How about Sunday?

We had 172 for AM worship and 139 for PM worship. The 111 for Bible class was encouraging too. We slipped down on our contribution from the past 3 weeks, but it wasn’t bad.

Those of us that got wet a couple Sunday’s ago when we were going from class (in the activity building) to the auditorium will be glad that after a couple of weeks, “It won’t happen again.” We are going to get a metal cover that will go from building to building. This will be in the back of the two buildings.

CYC is just around the corner. There will be 45 – 50 from Eastwood that will be in Gatlinburg TN. the weekend of the second to the fourth of February. We are anticipating around 5,500 in total attendance. This is a great weekend. I am excited that we have some from Eastwood that it will be their first time to attend CYC.

CYC (Challenge Youth Conference) is a weekend dedicated to help the spiritual growth of the youth in churches of Christ. The added bonus is there are so many adults (parents, chaperons, adult youth workers, deacons and elders) that attend and grow as well. Gatlinburg TN, is a terrific place to go and have a weekend of spiritual feast.

Things at Eastwood are certainly looking up. The Lord is blessing the work. The church is blessing the community. What a wonderful combination of blessings.
