September 11, 2001, What A Day #2

I just thought of something. September 11, 2001 was a horrible day. But, is that all there was on that day? NO, I just thought there were 100′s, No, 1000′s of hero’s. I am not talking about the ones who lost their lives. Although they were hero’s.

There were 1000′s that rose to heroism. They fought fire, smoke and twisted metal to save lives. They ran forward to help the helpless. They came from everywhere. Men and women doing what they could to help a fallen person. Not just fallen American’s. You know on the streets of New York there were many nations represented. Mankind at its worst and mankind at its greatest.

Think about those who lost their lives on the airplane in Pennsylvania. It could have been worse, much worse, if it were not for our hero’s.

Sonny, just read the bulletin. And yes, I was disappointed in the attendance. Did we not get out enough and invite those that needed to come and hear the gospel? I know we invited many to come. And some we invited did come Wednesday night but they are Christians. What can we do to reach the ones that are not saved? It is so disappointing to come and see the place so empty. I know all of us have things going on but we have to make time to come to church and do the Lord’s work. What are we showing the younger generation of children if we do not take the time to come ourselves?
Loved the article on hero’s. Yes, it did show the many hero’s of this country. That day in American history will be remembered for a long time. Yes, it could have been a lot worse. I hope this country remembers that it could happen again. We need to keep our guard up at all times. And most especially our christian guard. Things can happen in the wink of an eye.

    In Christian love,
    Trish Daniel
