Do you remember September 11, 2001 (9/11)? I am sure you do. Today is September 11, 2007. Usually when we say, “What A Day” we would refer to a day when something good happened or maybe it was a grand day for you. There was nothing good or grand about 9/11. It was a horrible day. A day that brought fear to the hearts of America. Did you pray for safety yesterday and the day before that? Have you wondered will something like 9/11 happen today?

Tonight Van Vansandt SR. will be preaching for us at Eastwood. His topic is, “The Christless World.” He will/may make reference to 9/11.

What a day! I will never forget Jackie calling me and telling me that a plane had crashed into a building in New York. Then as we were talking about it she, said, “Another plane has crashed into the building next to it.” I realized something was terrible wrong. We became glued to the television. We began to meet at the church building for prayer. Several from the Petersville community came and prayed with us. I and others had an invitation, every day, to come to Wilson school and have Bible reading and prayer over the intercom system.

Months later things began to get back to normal.

After 9/11 what is normal? That is what was stolen from us.
