There are three (great) things going to happen at the end of this month that I am looking forward to with Great Anticipation. First there is our men’s breakfast Saturday, January 26. We have been talking about this for a long time and now we are going to carry it through. Hopefully, this will become a regular meeting of the men.

I am looking forward to our morning assembly on January 27. Our elders along with Eric Faires have worked tremendously hard preparing a yearly budget for 2008. They are going to present this budget at the close of worship on the twenty-seventh.

Sunday evening January 27 we will have our “Birthday Celebration.” This is an annual whole congregation birthday party. It is fun! This event may be the pinnacle fellowship of the year. Each month of the year is represented by a table being decorated with things that you will recognize as belonging to that month. There is a cake at each table and always there are many goodies and treats along with something refreshing to drink. It is delightful to go from table to table.

In just a couple of weeks we will have some of the best fellowship of the year and we will be pleased with the work our elders have laid out for us in 2008. Are you excited, yet, I am.
