Worship On The River
I am looking forward to our “Worship On The River” August 24. It is shaping up to being a good day of fellowship and worship. There will be two pontoon boats and one other boat. There will be fun for all. Most of all we will worship in an ancient way. Much like the first Christians. The open air will take us to the way many of our brethren worshiped 2,000 years ago.
Next week we have a good opportunity to worship with brethren from around the Shoals area. The Sherrod Ave congregation is having a gospel meeting/Lectureship. They call it “Renewal.” It would be good if many of us, especially, our leadership: elders, deacons, preachers and teachers could invest time in attending this good event. There will be several speakers that will be new to us.
In one month we will be having our gospel meeting. It can be a time of “Revival” for us. We will study through the book of Jonah which just happens to tell us about the greatest revival that has every happened in the history of man. God wishes to revive us too.
